Salt Tablets?

#1

What type of salt tablets do you recommend during fasts?

I do my own mix and simply grab a (good) pinch and put it in my tea, season my food, or just put it directly in my mouth.

Mix:
1 portion pink Himalayan salt (this has a good mix of other minerals), (very in expensive at Costco these days)
1 portion Celtic salt (or other salt with higher iodine)
2 portion No-Salt (potassium)

Put the mixture in old spice jars, or a smaller re-usable container (I use small 2 oz Glad snack containers).

I also grab salt packets at fast food restaurants and keep them in my briefcase.

A good rule of thumb is if the mixture tastes sweet, you are low on salt, if it tastes really salty, take/add more.

I’ve been able to find only one brand in local stores, called Thermotabs. They don’t have much salt in each one, but they are buffered, so I can take one on an empty stomach. They cost about $10 for 100 tablets…a bit pricey if you ask me. But the alternative made me vomit, literally. I thought I could put a little pink salt in a gelatin capsule. Nope.
