No idea. But I work with patients with RSD tome to time. It typically to my knowledge doesn’t have a metabolic factor associated with it. Some cases are associated with myelin changes surrounding the peripheral nerves but its not progressively degenerative so associating emerging evidence of keto for adjunctive treatment for degenerative nervous system processes likely isn’t applicable. No one really knows the true etiology for RSD so I don’t think there is a definitive answer for you. Keep us posted thiugh.
Thank you for replying, I’m wondering of it will help with the swelling she will get in her left lower extremity and the brain fog (that of course could be her diet or meds). I guess we can watch and see!!!
Yes as in OT, I’m also a director of rehab so I’m not treating all day but I always try to get those special patient’s so that I can enjoy my license
I use to live in Findlay OH. But couldn’t take the winters anymore
Good for you! I graduated from Toledo in Columbus now. I work in neuro outpatient… Which is why I’m keto basically. Saw first hand all the complications from DM2 in regards to stroke, kidney damage, heart disease ECT. Half my stroke patients are diabetic younger than 60. Scary stuff.
I work in a SNF im seeing the same thing, plus amputations this is the same reason I am on this diet
