I’ve read the entire thread posted up to this time and I just want to add to all of the really good advice posted for you here that a balance of minerals is absolutely necessary.
I recently found myself suffering from the effects of mineral deficiencies. This is a lot like electrolyte deficiency, they’re not entirely dissimilar. They do both occur when we cut back on the amount of nutrient we are taking in.
I personally had muscle cramps and severe ankle swelling.
Balance is the key.
I was taking in plenty of sodium(love the pink salt on the tongue) but wasn’t looking at anything else.
I consulted a nutritionist who recommended getting my minerals from natural sources. One of those that was not actually food was sea weed seasoning. It’s commonly available at most health food stores and is not a food. Meaning, it does not break your fast.
Since incorporating this, and kombucha and spirulina into my routine, my ankles are back to normal and I have no muscle cramps.
Don’t take my word for it, consult a keto-minded nutritionist or do some research of your own
I hope you find this helpful
Keep calm and keto on
