I had a an RMR test done this morning ketones and glucose 1 hr before the test 2.7/86. Ketones and glucose 3 hours after the test (and some coffee with heavy cream) 1.5/96. RQ (Respitory Quotient) was extremely high at 1.97. RMR was very low at 936. I definitely eat more than double that on a daily basis and have lost 2.9% body fat (per DXA scan in the last 9 months). Also how can RQ be so high when I was registering such high ketones. Data makes no sense. Anyone have any ideas what is going on?

Yeah, that’s super weird. My only thought is that there was air that you were breathing in that wasn’t being accounted for. Like a leak in the hose or your nose not being clipped shut all the way. Producing almost double the CO2 than the O2 you were breathing in doesn’t make sense unless some additional O2 was getting in somewhere.
