Not sure if this is the place but I have a related question. I take a d-ribose supplement for energy and recuperation in ultra running. Ribose is a key building block of ATP. Oddly enough d-ribose is a form of sugar that actually lowers blood sugar levels.
When I take this supplement my urine becomes foamy. I understand that this can be a sign of protein in the urine, so I am slightly worried. Anyone else with this result? Also what effects would ribose supplementation have on ketone production?

I also take d-ribose for energy production. I haven’t experienced what you mention, but will be interested to hear others input.

Thomas, if you have a ketonix you can check your ketones before & after & report back here-- i don’t have one yet

Any updates on your experience with d-ribose? I got to this forum after googling “d-ribose keto” and finding all sorts of disconcerting results. I was concerned about being kicked out of ketosis, not proteinuria & kidney damage!
