My CACS is 36; and I’m 55. I’ve been doing Carnivore and want to reverse my score, is this possible? I’ve been taking K2 + D3 every meal but beyond that, is this reversible? Has anyone on here reversed their CACS?
Thanks

Follow Ivor Cummins (@FatEmporer) (edited: ON TWITTER). He has people sending him CAC score reversals.
It’s usually k2 + D3 + some variant of low carb/keto/carnivore. Magnesium also might help.
He has also recommended this calculator:
https://mesa-nhlbi.org/MESACHDRisk/MesaRiskScore/RiskScore.aspx
I put some numbers into that calculator using your age and male and your CAC score, and guessing at the other values, and still got a low percentage.
Your level is not that high. Just saw a few posts about vegans having CAC scores in the thousands.
@gangelo Will let you know as time passes… Am in a similar situation with fairly low (but non-zero) CAC score after decades of supposedly “healthy” low fat diet. Now on keto 4+ months, taking K2+D3 (daily) and fish oil and magnesium. Will retake CAC in perhaps 1 yr or so and see what happens.
BTW, I happen to also be a lean mass hyper-responder given latest NMR panel, so I’m perhaps especially curious as to how the CAC results look over time.
Fat emperor talked about it here … although Patrick started from a far higher level than you have.
Yea, I am watching this ATM, and although not finished with it yet, I believe Ivor says artery calcium is not reversible but can be stopped or slowed down, I may have misunderstood https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8bizWTmqmLM
Haven’t watched it for a while but I’m pretty sure Patrick’s overall score reduced over time.
No, he indicates there is reversal in some. See his interview with Malcolm Kendrick.
Also, Patrick reversed his to some extent.
