I have read some people claiming red meat can cause SIBO. Does anybody happen to know if there is any truth to this? I can’t find any studies showing it can.

News to me. Wouldn’t be surprised if there’s nothing to such an association - no less causation.

As the name implies, it’s caused by bacteria, bacteria in the wrong place. Has zero to do with meat. That’s plant “based” propaganda.
My Viome report told me I should stop eating red meat until all my problems were resolved, guess what was resolved in a couple of months with NO shortage of red meat going in daily?
Do you have SIBO? Or just got spooked by Internet FUD?

Remember the forums’ first dogma: “Show me the science.”
In fact, an elimination diet of beef and water is one of the ways of treating SIBO and candidiasis.
