Recommended Lab tests for someone on a Ketogenic diet?

I’m a non-diabetic 36 year old male. I am going to my doctor in a few weeks for a physical exam. I’ve been keto for over 1 year (lost 30 lbs) 225 to 185 and would like to get blood work done so I can monitor how keto effects lab values throughout my life. It would have been great if I got these test before going Keto and I did get some done like a normal cholesterol panel but am curious if there are more specialist tests. My doctor isn’t a fan of keto and wanted to prescribe statins last time I was there even thou my triglycerides had dropped significantly in a year time. I am hoping they are in the normal range this time from changing diet alone and maybe his opinion has changed.

I know of a few test but want to know what test would you recommend to have done for someone who is keto?

So far I’m thinking vitamin D, testosterone, A1C. I was low in vitamin D a few years ago.

I know there are different cholesterol test that break down the cholesterol…

And other test that measure fat, muscle and water ratio.

I had this one ran. Blood code panel. It is quite comprehensive.

An NMR test diagnoses the LDL particle size if you have elevated levels.

A Dexa scan will tell you exactly how much LBM you have.

A lot depends on your budget.

hsCRP and CAC?

My doc has been pushing statins for years and I refused. I got a CAC score of zero and that seems to have shut her up. Cardiologist was very impressed.

hsCRP (inflammation) after a year of Keto was 0.8
