Recent Chinese study - Egg a day tied to lower risk of heart disease

Just saw this story about a recent study on eggs. Some positive stuff but also an alarming comment about diabetics halfway through. Curious if this is bad conventional wisdom or could there be something to it?

Seems to be an example when despite WANTING to go with a study because it somewhat agrees with the keto narrative, we have to dismiss it for poor, or lack of actual, science.

Trying to look at eggs as any indicator as ridiculous. They lead with the fact that 9% didn’t eat them, and only 13% ate ONE a day, while the rest AVERAGED 1/2 an egg a day. Plus, that’s based on only following HALF the participants.

There’s just not enough controlled data to draw any real correlations from, let alone, causation.
