In other news, drug dealers have started to refer to themselves as free-lance pharmaceutical sales managers. 2017 has marked a major period of rebranding for the cartels and gangs. Heroin, once called “horse”, has been re-marketed as InVeQuine. A source who spoke on terms of anonymity leaked rumors that current and past Triple Crown winners were being groomed for an endorsement campaign.

Sugar is relentless… bigger and more powerful than big tobacco could’ve ever dreamed…

(Just to be clear: I’m not quoting @Bahrutile here, but the article he was quoting )

Is this patronizing though, or what?

Well, it’s true I suppose that lessons have to be re-learned with each passing generation.
Old knowledge gets lost or cast aside by modern, supposedly more scientific “knowledge”.

i don’t think it is patronizing in context…
i think it’s pointing out that the days of an apple being an apple are gone and that we can’t trust packaging/labeling…we have to be our own food police even tho that is supposed to be the job of the FDA (in the U.S.) grrrr
