Well, give her a few years.

When The Change hits, it hits - even otherwise “fit & healthy” gals speedily pack on new body fat in the belly (visceral and/or subcutaneous) and jowls/neck. Things get wobbly as if under a magic spell beyond one’s control. The realization may come that if one wants to lose the fat and tend the lean mass, one’s gotta get nutrient density down and be fueled by fat. While Michaels is probably wealthy enough to just go the plastic surgery and spa fasting route, it will still be alarming, surprising, and serious for her (as it was for me, though am not nearly as famous lolol).

And LCHF/keto is a lighthouse when one is overwhelmed by metabolic change and decides to humbly focus on recomposing from the inside out in new ways and with a long term view.

When I look at that statement; thats’s keto, she talks about how bad it is…YET she is doing exactly that in her own words “starving” herself? Depleting glycogen storage with exercise and eating less?

When you breakdown and oxidize fat after depleting glycogen storage from exercise and you are eating less, your going to be making ketones eventually whether you like it or not?

How are you going to burn fat without making ketones?

If she’s carbing up for workouts, she’s not going to completely deplete the glycogen to force ketone production, so beta oxidation will perpetuate the TCA cycle. If she (or her clients) actually do exercise to the point of a glucose and glycogen depleted state, then yes ketosis will happen in conjunction with the GNG triggered to supply glucose. Well, until they have that post workout snack or whatever. That will shut it right down again. Heck, that pretty much describes my pre-keto bike rides.

I’ll give her the benefit of the doubt and say that she means being in a constant state of ketosis is a terrible, terrible thing. And that exercise is necessary to burn the fat. Which is still wrong.

This is purely speculative on my part but another interesting thing is she does NOT need to eat fat to be in ketosis but she MAY find her LDL-particle size getting smaller and smaller and smaller on a low-fat high carb diet until she ends up with coronary heart disease (CHD) if she is looking to have triple bypass surgery in the future from not eating enough fat, the only way to increase LDL-particle size (large fluffy LDL) is by eating adequate amounts of fat?

He had some kind of heart surgery but I do not know the exact details, just speculation?

Hmmmm… valve replacement. That guy has done so many things to his body over ther years it must be a nightmare on the inside.

I see he admits to using steroids and “doesn’t regret it”.
