Really hungry

(Marianne) #21

Is pepperoni bad? I usually eat between 1-2 oz. day.

Bummer that avocado doesn’t work for you.

As much as I love cheese and pepperoni, something like chicken thighs, mushrooms, eggs, good fats (slap some cream cheese on salami) and such would be better in my personal experience. If I am feeling naughty, a big burger (sans bun naturally).

But if you are hungry, eat. Better to feed the need properly than throw in the towel.

My problem exactly.

It’s crazy how people are so different.

Fear not! Read the label and buy one that has the least carbs and additives. You might want to include a little variety and add salami to your menu. :relieved:

(You've tried everything else; why not try bacon?) #26

Eat to satisfy your hunger. If your body wants more energy, eat more fat and protein. When you satisfy your hunger, stop eating.

This time you beat me to it :raised_hands:

Maybe it’s due to so many years of eating small portions 4 to 5 times a day? I don’t think I want to ā€œtrainā€ my stomach to hold more food! lol Certain things I can eat a lot of are: pizza and casserole type dishes but other than that, I’m miserable. The holidays are crazy because I could put my whole meal on a small plate instead of the double decker large plates that people usually use at Thanksgiving or Christmas etc.

This was my experience. I had to learn to eat two bigger meals to build my fasting muscle which meant eating past satiety with fat. I learned to do this following Megan Ramos’s advice and program at IDM.

(traci simpson) #30

Who is that?

(Jody) #31

IDM (Intensive Dietary Mgmt) is Dr Jason Fung’s program. He wrote The Diabetes Code, The Obesity Code, Guide to Fasting… Megan does all the Q&A’s, video’s, she’s kind of the ā€˜face’ of the IDM program.

IDM program’s focus is on fasting.

I’ve eaten small amounts since I was a child. But I would like to stay at TMAD so guess I will have to just retrain myself to eat more (and more slowly.)
