For me, it had to have been 2002-2003 (can’t remember exactly).
But yes, the original Atkins Rules of Induction are definitely the ones to go with.
I just wish I had known about intermittent fasting back in those days, or I would have never gained all the weight I lost back–and then some.
Really bad start! What can it be?
We all make grammar mistakes.
I blame the evil, evil carbage in the world.
well well well
No cream last night…no nuts no snacks…had olives for dessert…used seltzer water for that oral craving…and moderate ketosis on the strip…
and not hungry this morning yet…
im glad I posted and got motivated!!!
Really? It’s so mild, I would think you could make it completely disappear in a tuna, salmon or chicken salad! But my taste buds are underdeveloped.
You should check out Kickin’ Carb Clutter. She is an early Atkins devotee who agrees that they’ve bastardized his original intent and treatments. Be aware she has her own special n=1 issues and strictly restricts calories. She still has some good thoughts and good recipes. She has the best instructions around for the Atkins original cloud bread for induction.
Try to get those two meals closer together. The smaller the window of time that you eat anything, the better. Almost anything you eat can cause an insulin spike. Insulin is the real evildoer. It prevents fat burning for a while even after it’s back to low levels. That was my problem. I lost 40 pounds I. Two weeks. And was stuck there. Up and down a few pounds but couldn’t seem to break it. Turns out I was using a few things during my non meal times that were causing insulin spikes. My Metamucil contains maltodextrin. Maltodextrin has about twice the capacity as sugar does to turn into Blood Glucose. And it’s in a lot of stuff. It’s even in things listed as good for diabetics. It’s a crime I say. That shit should be banned, or listed as a carb at the very least.
I am browsing her writing. Good stuff! She and I have had similar experiences. Thanks @CandyLindTX
Try adding MTC oil and intermittent fasting? Keep hitting the gym and things will change. Also, make sure you’re drinking water with at least salt if not other added electrolytes.
I don’t ever use any artificial sweeteners…I drink seltzer water and water… that’s it… my sugar is either in dark chocolate , peanut butter or blow off days… I was doing too much dark chocolate and once I took it out, my ketosis kicked in…
I’d rather have some real sugar from time to time …I used live off Diet Coke and did have success on atkins…but not anymore
