Realized something VERY strange?

Yes, me too! I thought of it as part of my detox, and maybe it was. No more phlegmy coughing now. (And just for a little extra TMI, no more farts either.)

Sad, isn’t it? :grinning:

Yep, it could part of that indeed. It does seem to clear it up after a while, which is quite nice for a change.

Yep, I’ve also read that quite a bit on this forum as well. Seems more so by the ladies, but also some men.

Actually the only time I even feel ‘bubbly’ anymore, is during fasting. I think it’s more to do with the stomach just being empty. ‘Butt’ yes, it’s a welcome bonus as well!

The machine that I use is call a Nebulizer, I’m suppose to use it 2-3 times a day. Hello everyone. :slightly_smiling_face:

Use that machine, V! Every time you head off or reduce the strength of an asthma attack, you also reduce the strength of the next one. If you allow an attack to proceed unchecked, the next one is even worse!

That’s what the doctor told me when he diagnosed my asthma, and experience seems to bear him out, and how!

Welcome V!!!

Thanks for the info, I didn’t know that…I will try to do better

Thanks Janie

Guess I shouldn’t have said anything. Been sneezing my ass off the last two days!

But we were going through some older stuff and it might have been the dust. Also been congested and stuffy. I just thought it was ironic, that I mentioned not sneezing, only to have it start happening.

Only just found this thread that’s interesting Dave, my wife has bronchial weakness inherited from her Dad, she’s not asthmatic but whenever it gets cold (winter) now her breathing tightens up, and similarly if she gets into a coughing fit, it becomes more difficult for her to breath. This happened one night so bad that I almost called the ambulance, she was gasping for air. Its the coughing that seems to close down the lungs. Luckily I fluked a makeshift remedy by pouring some hot water into a bowl and getting her to breath in the steam vapor, that freed up or relaxed her lungs enough for her to stop coughing and breath normally again. I agree it can be very scary. We’ve got a nebulizer too but for her what works faster is breathing in steam vapors directly from plain old hot water. I’d like her to get fitter and expand her lungs more perhaps get them stronger, not sure whether that would help.

Yeah, she can correct me if I’m wrong here, but for her it can happen when it hot, cold, or if she happens to get around smoke. At least these seem to be triggers of a sort. And I’m guessing excess of any of them will cause it. if something small falls onto the bottom of the stove and she opens the door, the smoke will really bother her. Or if she happens to come out in the yard while I’m burning wood. Anything like this can cause her breathing problems which can last for a while…

But again, she sometimes goes into a coughing fit, seems out of nowhere? She tells me it’s like saliva will feel like it gets caught in her throat, almost as if you’re drinking something and it goes down the wrong pipe. (As some folks like to put it) … But I have to say, I don’t think she’s been coughing as much, since starting Keto, which I hope is a good sign. … Also, though I’m not completely sure on this either, but I don’t think she’s been having to do the breathing treatments as much. (Meaning more out of necessity then scheduled, since I’m always getting on her for the latter!)
