Hello! I’ve been basking here on this foggy, morning, having my coffee and reading before my day begins. I’ve been amazed and delighted in the good changes I have been experiencing lately.

  1. My energy has increased 10 fold! I am 60 (woman) and can still recall sitting in a stupor, joints aching thinking “I don’t have the gumption to move…” Now I buzz around crossing things off of my to-do list, with time to spare!
  2. I LOVE not feeling obligated to eat 3-5 servings of fruits and vegetables daily. I have gone the Weight Watchers route countless times in life. I LOVE eating a 12 oz rib eye and not worrying about how many points it will cost me. I LOVE not answering to a scale every week to see if I am succeeding. Now I know my clothes are my guide…and they are showing success. Instead of being some numbers game that I struggle to maintain and eventually fail, this is for a lifetime of health and vitality.
  3. When I see my reflection, I see my hair has a lovely shine, my skin is healthy and my eyes have a sparkle that I haven’t seen in a while.
  4. I no longer try to avoid having my beloved husband (of 37 years) “see” me, but instead I embrace who I am becoming.
  5. I am thrilled that I can sit on the floor, go down a slide and play with our 9 grandchildren.
I could go on, but my point is, do this for yourself and those you love. Don’t let a scale tell you that you’re failing. This is a way of life, for a better, healthier life…and we only get this one…

turned 60 few months ago and I feel ya on that! about 7 yrs ago when I went low carb and found my way to carnivore I had no idea how bad I was becoming til I hit such better health, one factor being I am as mobile and fast moving energy as I was when darn near a kid now LOL
I love how vibrant life has become again and I am super happy you are finding it too!!

I tackled LA Weightloss and all that eat this amt of serving and limit to this amt of serving of fruits and starch etc. I feel your pain on that 'dieting nightmare and never to go back
  3. When I see my reflection, I see my hair has a lovely shine, my skin is healthy and my eyes have a sparkle that I haven’t seen in a while. yes, we THRIVE!!

  5. I am thrilled that I can sit on the floor, go down a slide and play with our 9 grandchildren. quality of life is what it is all about! I am right there with you with getting older and finding things we found so hard thru joint pain and more is NOW not an issue! cool

By the way, every time I see Rebj, my mind reads it as Rebel. Even though I know that’s wrong… I see rebel. So… do with that what you will. :dancer:t2:

It’s funny you say that…that was what my Father called me a a kid!! I wasn’t rebellious though!

Yay! Good for you!

Oh my. I never understood that 5 times vegs/fruit thing, it made exactly zero sense. As we have it not as servings (that means nothing, actually) but as “times”. If I don’t eat zillion times, I fail  So be it.
I always ate as I pleased and it had pros and cons…

But points… What a 21oz steak with eggs and bacon as a side dish would give me I wonder… (It’s my dream birthday meal at the moment or something similar. I may want something else for my next birthday.)

It seems your body very much agrees with your choices  And if you give it what it needs, oh it can do even more wonderful things for you (it does anyway, it’s amazing how much harm it can handle but it has its limits, obviously and responds better to a good woe).

I wish you a great time in the future too :two_hearts:

Your dream birthday meal sounds delectable!!

A steakhouse not too very far have all that on their menu. I approve

All of your responses so far have touched my heart! I really didn’t think I could feel this vibrant and good!
The body is an amazing creation and we should treat it well…and it will return the favor!
