Question for women

Has anyone else had spotting during ovulation & then be late for your period ?
I have never spotted during ovulation before until last month. And now I’m 3 days late for my period.
What does this mean ? Keto related or something else?
I have a copper iud if that makes a difference but I’ve had this for a year and still never spotted during ovulation and I’ve had this for a year now.

Plz let me know if I’m not the only one.

I will obviously speak with my doctor if I haven’t started after 7 days late. But just wondering if weight loss can cause all of this

I have not experienced anything like this so far, but then again have only been following the Keto WOE for about two weeks. I have at other times experienced the same thing, as the difference in your diet affects your body as a whole. I wouldn’t be too worried, but consulting your Dr is always a good idea, just to be on the safe side!! I hope this helps a little to ease your mind!!

Weight loss/any major change in diet can certainly cause female hormones to go a bit wacky but it wouldn’t hurt to run it by your doctor. If I get any hormonal weirdness (I’m 44 so I do!) I’ll often do search on https://www.reddit.com/r/xxketo/ - I’m not a member but they have a lot of hormone posts you can search.

Most flux in diets will change the “Red Head” arrival but it sounds like you might have a Keto baby in the oven. Any time I spot unexpectedly something is up!!! Never experienced anything like that on keto.

When I would compete and drastically change my diet. my “Red Head” would sometimes be late or not happen at all and this would happen before my bodyfat was really low. When you change your diet you change everything in your body. I would still get a check up. Diet affects your hormones.

Update. I got my period 7 days late. It’s been very heavy. Maybe just my body adjusting to keto.

Dieting/fat loss can blow your cycle to hell, as losing fat releases excess estrogen. Cycle disruption is widely experienced by women in keto-land (there are many discussion threads about this in the forums).
