Give it couple more months that will most likely change. The first three months or so for me were a little bit of a roller coaster when it came to sleep. Started off waking up in the middle of the night, all kinds of energy. Then I went to a real deep sleep pattern for a while, that was around the time I fat adapted, a few months ago I sort of went into the pattern I am now were if I don’t go to bed I won’t sleep but I don’t get tired either. I have not tried it yet but I am sure I could stay up 24 hours with little trouble if I have some salt. The second I think I can fall asleep though its game on.

Funny, that seems to jive with the evolutionary explanations of fasting too. If you’re hunting a deer for a long distance, you might be up for a day and a half to two days before you get a chance so sleep, but as soon as you lay down to sleep, you’re out.

And if you look at it from the other perspective it makes sense as well, sit up in that apple tree and eat to your hearts content. Take a nap so your blood sugar can go high and insulin can kick in to storage mode. Eat some more when your hunger kicks back in an hour or two.
I have never had to follow lots of sleep tenant, getting more than 7 hours has been a rare experience mostly 5 for me. Pre keto I could lay in bed for half the day if I did not have some where to be,
