hi. Wondering if any of you have had a complete lab done at Quest.

If so, how long does it take to get results in? A Day, a week? etc???

What has been your experience? Thanks in Advance!

The test includes the following:
Total Cholesterol
Triglycerides
High-density lipoprotein (HDL)
Low-density lipoprotein (LDL) (calculated)
Cholesterol/HDL ratio (calculated)
Non-HDL Cholesterol (calculated)
Apolipoprotein B
Hemoglobin A1c (HbA1c)
Insulin, Intact
C-Peptide
Insulin Resistance Score

I’ve been getting this type of test, except for the last five, every six months for around 10 years and have an account on their website. In that period, I’ve used several different Quest offices in town to get the blood drawn. The tests are generally there the next day and I download them. That would be like I get the blood drawn mid-morning on day one and the results are online the next evening.

I’ve had HbA1C tested before and it’s the same time, I’ve just never had the other four tests so I don’t if they get sent to somewhere else.

Let me know if I missed anything you wanted to see.

ok Thanks! This is one test – https://www.questhealth.com/product/metabolic-risk-panel-14008M.html – it’s taking a few days and have not gotten results. Wondering if that’s normal…

I had a “problem” where I ordered one test that took a long time. They kept the results until that final test’s results came back. Maybe that’s what’s happening to you?

I think my test was something like glucagon, or another test no one gets.

I’m fairly sure that the lab that does the actual analysis on my blood is across the state from me, a couple of hours drive away, and they send the blood samples over in the evening here. If you’re not near an equivalent lab that could delay it by a day or two but a few days sounds like something is different.

Then there’s what Bob M mentioned about one test delaying the whole thing.

yeah… maybe that’s it. I have had tests from my doctors office that come one one at a time… they don’t hold this. I did this direct without Dr. Order.

Very few things I haven’t got tested at Quest, you typically get the results as they come in. Most things are back in 2-3days. Some hormones are up to a week.

If you haven’t ordered it already, get it from a place like PrivateMD and save some $$
