Pulse changes & slight heart palpitations just after eating, lasting 40-60 mins?

I’ve been on Keto 4 weeks but in the past 4 days or so, after eating, my pulse goes a bit faster and I have slight heart palpitations.
This lasts for about 40 mins after eating.

I am thinking , “what could eating do that would cause this?” and I am landing in my mind on the issue of leaky gut. Things getting into my bloodstream and causing this.
Thats my theory, and I am looking at getting some bone broth to help this.

Any other ideas what you think could be causing this ?

Sounds like maybe your body is adapting to a fat burner. Macro-nutrients digest differently and fat works the body harder than carbs. This could explain the slight pulse elevation. As time goes on the body and digestive tract will get more efficient and handle it better.
The palpitations might also be a symptom but I might try getting a little more potassium. Make sure your getting your electrolytes.

thanks, I have potassium citrate and magnesium citrate here, and been taking them. And I have some emergen-c electrolytes powder mix
I hope you’re right about my body adapting and becoming a fat burner. I wonder if anyone else has experienced the same thing tho?

For what it’s worth, I can confirm my pulse goes up after eating (more so if it was a big meal). I just figured I’ve kind of woken up my metabolism which has to deal with the incoming load. It’s a slightly weird feeling, but not scary - guess I’m just used to it.
