Proteins, fats when on one meal a day

#1

Hi group my husband & I have been on the keto way of eating for a month only eating one meal a day. My question is…how much fats, proteins should we be having a day to ensure we are not causing deficits in macros (we eat less then 20g carbs a day). My husband (100 kilos) only needs to lose 10 kilos ( he’s already lost 5). I am within normal range & am on keto for health benefits & loving the food & the happier me😊

This is just me personally, I eat 90% meat I would say.

When my body has had its fill of protein, I can look at the plate and just put my fork down, the desire to eat it stops dead.

With fat, overeating can cause nausea.

So, I say just eat both until satisfied, don’t go too fast or try to stuff yourself, but your body will tell you when it’s finished.

Here is a good calculator

The standard recommendation is to eat a moderate amount of protein (about a gram a day per kilo of lean body mass), as little carbohydrate as possible (no more than 20 grams a day), and fat to satiety. If you eat fat to satiety, you don’t need to count calories; your body will do that for you.

Yup. This is what I do too.
