Protein Timing

#1

Hello,

Does anyone know what the latest research is on protein timing? It seems a lot of people are recommending spreading protein intake out to 3 times daily especially in the 50yrs and older.

Thanks,

I eat one big meal per day, this helps a lot with satiety and keeps me energized during the day. I eat upwards of two pounds of fatty meat, usually steak, I that one meal. I seem to handle it just fine!

That’s unnecessary. Try to eat within a few hours after exercising, but as to number of meals it’s up to you and your hunger.

On feast days I am having 3-4 oz protein per meal and 3 meals. Hmmm good to know It’s the new thought on protein.

Are you literally eating 3 to 4 ounces of the micronutrient? Or is it food?

the literature is inconclusive to any effect/ lack of effect regarding timing. just do what works best for your schedule/preferences and never think of it again. life is too short.

I’m 54 and eat it for breakfast (9:30) lunch (1:30) and dinner (6). Is that good? Never thought about it! :grinning:
