Okay what is the real deal for protein? Is it. 8 x bodyweight or. 36 x bodyweight I getting 2 totals. Is there any professional who know? I only 116 pounds trying to lose 10 pounds.
Protein ratios
It depends on which expert you are asking.
How much protein is probably the most controversial subject among keto experts. Jason Fung recommends .6 grams per kg of total body weight to his patients with obesity and diabetes. Ben Bikman says 1-2 grams per kg of total body weight. And a whole host of others recommend all sorts of numbers inbetween those two suggestions.
I personally believe in using satiety to determine how much protein I eat as opposed to eating to an arbitrary number and I’ve had good results on the scale. When I look back at my logs from cronometer, it’s safe to say that I was typically eating equal grams of fat and protein to achieve satiety.
But if you are quite overweight it takes more only eat up to 1200 to 1300 calories in a day with IF I have been on keto. For quite a while and only lost 3 pounds, but its not that inches have not really gone down and I exercise!, by swimming.
