Hi, I haven’t posted in awhile due to busyness. AND I want to share some victories.
I started keto at around 211 on May 8, 2017. I think my natural (goal) weight is around 180. I lost 6lbs of water weight in the first week (May, 2017) and then stalled. I had no anxiety about this – I was ill, I was drinking heavily, and I was enjoying the keto way of life. I had non-scale victories in that my testosterone shot up to 555 (61 years old) from around 320 for many years. I love the WOE. I’ve also been experimenting with fasting.
Around Christmas, I stopped drinking and did IF, OMAD, and some 2-3 day fasts. By January 4 I hit 193. (See graph). (so the liver can’t burn fat and alcohol at the same time…)
I left January 5 for 10 days in Panama visiting family. They love to cook and totally did not get Keto, so I decided to consume meal carbs (rice, cornmeal/tortillas, sandwich bread, etc.) while there. I also had a few cold beers each day on the beach (nothing better!).
I was home for a day (the 16th) and then left on a business trip for a few days. I fasted on the travel day, then stuck to Keto.
I traveled home yesterday (OMAD). This morning, the scales said 194.6 lbs. WOHOO! I could not be more thrilled! What that means to me is that I maintained for nearly two weeks of going off the WOE. This is tremendously encouraging.
With less drinking and more fasting I expect to be around 190lbs by the end of this week.
Much love,
Christopher

That is great!
And well done on getting back on track, and sticking with Keto when travelling. Very impressed.
