Just noted corn starch is the first ingredient listed on the Zyrtec bottle and now wondering what other fillers used in medications I should look out for. My assumption is that even a tiny amount of corn starch in the tablet is going to wreck my fast i take it at bedtime as usual. Thoughts, experience?

I’d like to hope not but pretty sure corn starch is going to trigger a hefty insulin response in small amounts?

I’m sure an expert will answer, but I wouldn’t have thought such a tiny amount could affect anything

A pill is a few grams at most, some filler isn’t going to trigger a hefty anything really. It seems the only adjectives and verbs used with insulin are extreme words. I wouldn’t stress fillers unless the pill has glucose and literally nutritional information.

The worst I had was my fave gummy vitamin C…I should have known cause they taste SOOOOO GOOD! Sure they do! Covered in sugar crystals! Can’t recall how many gms but I dropped those puppies like they were acid and went back to the boring old regular ones.
