What do you mean by “pre workout”? Do you mean working out before starting the fast in order to deplete glycogen?

i stopped using all pre workout once i started keto…i was using it the first week and i was a little crackbaby at the gym having fat AND supplementation beforehand.
which doesn’t answer the fasting question…i would think it could be counterproductive and maybe not so comfortable…maybe even bonk you out

I think it would probably depend on the contents. But if I’m doing a full-on extended fast, I typically avoid any workout supplements, beyond my usual electrolytes.

Thanks Andrew, I decided to go without. Just approaching 18 hours feeling a bit foggy - and hungry. Sure it’ll pass. Ian
