Prader-Willi Syndrome - has anyone found any useful trials/studies using a ketogenic diet?

A google search has only found a few trials - one of which had a three day trial using 15%carbs as their macros. I know keto can’t fix everything, but I was hoping that the increased satiety of a fat-filled keto diet might make (for example) mango soap less attractive to a little PWS person.

So I just learned what PWS is:

The most common symptoms of Prader-Willi syndrome are behavior problems, intellectual disability, and short stature. Hormonal symptoms include delayed puberty and constant hunger leading to obesity.

There is no cure for Prader-Willi but many patients will benefit from a supervised diet. Some symptoms can be treated with hormone therapy.

…and the good news is that a high fat/moderate protein diet can most definitely improve our horomonal behavior. Modifying carb influenced hormones can lead to less hunger, less insulin resistance and weight loss so I don’t see why it wouldn’t at least improve PWS weight issues.

I did notice quite a few recommendations in articles to consult a doctor to monitor the diet. I’m not sure if hypoglycemia is an issue with PWS and it’s very important that your BG levels are adequately regulated. This is a normal process in most people who dont’ have T1D.

I searched for studies and found one in 2016 that didn’t have any results… but I did find this PWS facebook group where you might find more information about PWS and keto.
