Powdered MCT's

#1

Has anyone tried the powdered MCT Oils? I notice there are a few different ones, but the main difference between the two is that one is pure MCT (no other ingredients) but it seems to have no fat in the nutritional info. The other does contain the fat but seems to be a frankenstein concoction. What are your thoughts on each type?

Started Keto last November, been using Quest Nutrition MCT Powder Oil. Wife and I love it. Use it in our BPC concoction in the mornings, makes a frothy, foamy coffee shake. Does not upset the stomach. Asprey’s MCT oil made me run to the bathroom. And you definitely feel the energy from the added fat. 7g of fat per 9g scoop, they include the scoop.

I love Quest mct powder. One scoop has 7 grams of fat, 1 carb, 1 fiber. Great in coffee.

I was wondering how one dehydrates fat, then found this:
“It is then processed into a free flowing powder by spray drying with maltodextrin and anti-caking agents to encapsulate the oil in powdered form.”

Good day,

This is correct. Im a manufacturer from the Philippines and im experimenting with mct/vco powder. Maltodextrin, vco/mct are the main ingredients and an emulisfier. How do you guys find it? Do you think making a coconut creamer with mct oil be a good product? Would love to get feed back?

Thanks

I have tried both. MCT oil 98% C8 enzymes and Quest MCT powder. Personally I like the MCT oil better. I have always drank my coffee decaf and Black. The powdered stuff is like putting cream in my coffee. I have gotten used to the MCT oil and no longer suffer from the loose stools I used to get after my bulletproof coffee. To each his or her own, eh? Stay calm and go Keto.
