I have seen a few of these, I found this one on Reddit. Have you fellow KETO People seen any egregious stretching of the truth or just flat out lies in advertising? Store Shelves, Magazines, Old or New, let’s smoke them out!

Aren’t all Obese people “Children of Corn” Industry. I can see the new movie coming out ‘Children of the Corn HFCS!’
…The children of the National Corn Growers Association will not go down without a fight!
…Saintly Faces Hallowed be thy Corn!
Love the “Pure Death” of Sucrose, instead of a noose they should just show a fatty liver tied to the bottle. It’s 50% Fructose and %50 Glucose, a perfect storm of Carbohydrate Insanity.
I’m not going to link to these but they’re easy to find. On Youtube Buzzfeed has a TON of videos about changing diet/body composition/etc. At first I started watching them to see what the trainers and dietitians said. I was curious about the strength of the advice.
One video features a man who was recently diagnosed with diabetes and is quite heavy. The trainer proceeds to say that if he can get this guy’s weight down his diabetes will go away. His weight is causing this problem, obviously /s/
…
It makes me so mad to see people giving advice to individuals with diabetes that will only prolong their metabolic imbalance. Not to mention these videos have millions of views by more then likely people under 30 for the most part. This newest generation of adults, many of which aren’t dealing with the health side effects of a carb heavy diet yet, are still being pushed into the same SAD trap. Makes me so mad.
After watching some more of these I want to add that maybe the most annoying part is that they’re being told to eat like 1/2 way to keto. So no cookies and bread but everything else is pretty much fine. Sort of a low fat paleo diet. Picture what Chris Evans probably eats everyday when trying to become Captain America. Lots of veg/fruit and lean meats. Thus, the people in the video do legitimately feel better but the science behind all the reasoning isn’t great.
The trainer always says you gotta make sure you’re burning body fat so keep fat intake down. Not great.
