Post a previous nemesis

I wonder how many people get kicked out of ketosis because of this thread! :japanese_ogre:

I would drink at least one of these daily! That’s why my name on here is what it is to remind me to leave it in the past!

And This was my temptation today… i was on my walk and …walked PAST! ā€˜Sift’ cupcakes, With a lemony center.
…such a ā€˜go to’ in my PAST!

Probably me! I think my insulin spiked just drooling over the pictures!!!

My nemesis bit me the other day. A peppermint icecream shake from Portillo’s. I can’t believe I ate the whole thing. :no_mouth:
I did have severe, I mean the worst leg cramps, EVER, last night. I couldn’t get out of bed. I don’t think it caused it, but maybe. And I will remember it the next time it tempts me.
I did take my mag and some salt and water and that helped immensely. I forgot my supplements a few nights in a row. I also was a bit dehydrated I bet.

Chinese food…

My old nemesis. This bucket would have only lasted a few days pre keto. :stuck_out_tongue:

(Janelle) #29

Completely agree on all AND I always felt like a baked/jacket potato was pretty healthy outside of all of the (now I’m realizing) full on keto toppings I’d put on it. Bacon bits, butter, cheese, sour cream. I mean, who knew? I thought they were the bad stuff.

(Janelle) #30

Ethiopian food. Holy cow I love that stuff - every spicy, yummy bite eaten with bread called injera. I mean, the bread IS the utensil. It’s a beautiful presentation too.

Some of the food can be keto - the meats and greens and some other veggies but you simply do not eat them with a fork.

(less is more, more or less) #31

Well played, though this dude would be past and current nemesis.

(Lazy, Dirty Keto šŸ˜) #32

Same here, I thought it was all the toppings that were unhealthy. Not the potato itself. You live and you learn!

(KCKO, KCFO 🄄) #33

And most of the toppings are so keto, butter, sour cream, bacon, chives. I put those on cauliflower now.

Just this:

And I can’t say I’ve vanquished it for sure yet. It’s bad enough that, on some days, I don’t trust myself to go to a restaurant that has good sweet tea because I’m afraid I’ll order it. Waitresses probably think I’m a nut because when they ask what I’d like to drink, I’ll sometimes blurt out ā€œunsweet teaā€ so quickly…but it’s because I’m saying it before I can really think about the alternative.

Sweet tea was also very much a part of my routine. I’d brew a glass or two in the morning and have it with me ALL day. After reading Dr. Fung’s books, I realize how horrible it really was to do that.

Reach down and grab a handle of your own body fat, there’s where all of the last muffins have gone :stuck_out_tongue:

So deathly and sweet tho, my god. I really miss muffins. Lol.
