Okay so I’ve been stalling on weight loss since I hit 50lb mark. It’s been discouraging. But oh well. My bowel habits have been slowed down a lot since keto. So I figured I could be backed up and that could be why I’m not losing. So I tried a laxative… magnesium citrate. Whole bottle. And I’ve been on the toilet all day. So I figured it was working.
And this is weird, but i just had to weigh myself to see if i lost any weight…because i feel like ive flushed at least 10lbs down the toilet.
.and I swear to you I’ve gained 2 lbs.
What the hell.
Is there an explanation?
Possible tmi - laxative use
When you use Magnesium Citrate in that amount, your colon sucks up all available water to add to your hardened feces. Check again tomorrow. And drink lots of water.
Thanks. I was so confused. I wasn’t expecting to gain weight at all. But now I know I definitely need to figure out a way to get more fiber in my diet. I don’t want to have to use this again
I started eating a whole avocado and a spoon of crunchy peanut butter for lunch this week. As well as some veggies. (Kroger natural contains only peanuts and salt) I have been so regular all week long! Last week I had maybe 2 bowel movements and we were out of avocados. There’s a ton of fiber and good fat in avocados.
I need to try the Kroger natural. The smuckers natural has like 6 carbs for a serving. And I love avocados. Didn’t know they were good for that. Thanks
I drink at least 75 oz a day with propel electrolytes packets. More if you count the water in my coffee.
