Portable “pocket” or travel scale recommendations?

Anyone have any recommendations for a small portable scale for weighing food? I’m not going to track all the time on the road, but I’d occasionally like to check myself to make sure my protein & carb servings aren’t getting out of line. I’d prefer not having to take a kitchen scale!

This is the kitchen scale I use. It was the one recommended on America’s Test Kitchen (best buy) at the time. It’s pretty small, very light weight and a better price than most. It’s not tiny, but I’ve been using it over the past 8 months and I really like it. Haven’t needed to replace the batteries so far. I kept the box, I think it protects it when I’m traveling. But it definitely isn’t tiny, may not be what you’re looking for.

I think this just cements what I already thought - I either “wing it,” or I take my home scale. Not enough size difference to mess with.

So, just checking Amazon (my curiosity kicked in, again), I found some tiny digital scales which seem to be used for weighing gemstones/precious metals. The one below seems to weigh up to just over 16 ounces, it has a very small “pad” for weighing. I’m not sure how useful it would be.

I looked, and decided it would be more trouble than the big one!

Yeah. I think so too!

Nice little scale. Found this on Amazon too, plastic and cast aluminum versions.
