Pork scartching

(Ryan Carr) #1

Hi

I am basically preparing to begin a Keto Diet and I’m currently looking at snack in my meal plans and had a thought, can I eat pork scratching as a snack because they are essentially fried/baked fat.

Could someone let me know please?

Kind Regards

I try not to snack but they are great. If you get the wide ones you can dip them in pimento cheese too.

Thanks for the speed replys guys.

I will add them to my list.

I am trying to create a sort of Keto on a budget as I have 4 other mouths to feed when shopping so this will be a much cheaper option then buying all the expensive nuts.

If you don’t have problems with insulin resistance and you’re not trying to lose weight, you can snack on pork scratchings to your hearts content! I love them on salad.

If you are trying to lose weight, you will find a strong correlation between how often you eat and how slowly you lose weight and reverse insulin resistance.

I use them to break fasts some days and then to top off a feast meal where I’m not quit satiated. Especially good with Sour Cream.

Should not be an issue in moderation :grinning:

They are probably among the best snack choices in moderation. Just remember that you’ll be wanting to end snacking once you are fat adapted which is usually around the 6 week mark.
