Something the vegans do that’s gotten under my skin, really annoying, is describing their diet as plant-based when it’s plants-only. Vegetarian can be described as plant based if dairy and egss can be included. Vegans should be called out for this.
"Plant based" is deceptive
I eat a plant based diet. What do you think all that pork and beef ate when it was alive? PLANTS!
You might as well call all food to be “Sun Based” as that’s where the food chain begins.
Ted Naiman has some great pictures where he shows donuts or something similar and calls them “plant based”. And it’s true.
My current plant based outrage.
Crappy seed oils and pasta is all she likes to eat. Sounds like a long term health strategy…
And they took away her real butter for this crap…
Apparentlly among the vegans there are “ethical vegans” and what that means is they eat only plant based food but feel free to eat anything with that limitation, healthy or not.
Vegetarian use to mean vegan. Then the dairy eaters stole the word. Nothing new.
I feel veganism is a good movement regardless of the human casualties because it opens peoples eyes to the enslavement of animals and the PTSD suffered by “human” factory farm workers. No animal deserves to be born in a jail, fed inflammatory grains and then executed for a human that doesn’t see nor cares about the consequences of their actions.
Plus eating grain fed meat is basically eating a concentrated source of grains which lack nutrition. No Vitamin A/K, no carotenoids, no magnesium and other valuable nutrients from fresh leaf vegetation that we can’t digest.
Maybe you’re a transvegan? And if you’re not… Are you trying to hide behind the plant based label for some reason?
That has always been my point also!
Whatever the animal eats, you are also eating be it carbs, grass (plants), bugs, toxins, anti-biotics, hormones…ect.
I can see the animals commenting: “…Are you to lazy to digest and ferment your own food, that you have to eat me…” …lol
I’m also starting to discover that animal proteins and animal fats are not required to survive.
Eating animals are simply a luxury. If there was not enough animals to eat or insects, what would you do? Fall over dead on the ground? …lol
The human body is not dependent on animals to live and can have superior longevity in contrast to a non-resistant starch meat eater or so it seems…
I’m no where close to being any kind of vegetarian or vegan, it is simply an observation I have been interested in exploring.
I think that’s more a description of a kitchen sponge, dear Bunny.
Are you stirring up the carnivores again?
In a ruminant the cow or sheep is actually digesting fatty acids and amino acids and converting that into cow or sheep parts.
It’s not a direct line of nutrients or toxins from soil to human body through a cow. There is a lot of biology in the mix.
Oh my word, that is awful. Cholesterol and saturated fat are important for everyone, but ESPECIALLY children! They come out with margarine, tell everyone it’s good for them, then it slowly starts to become more common knowledge that margarine is bad for you, so they just rename it “plant based butter” and everything is all fine and dandy again! What garbage. These “burger” ads get to me as well.
