Understanding Phentermine

Phentermine is an appetite suppressant that works by stimulating the central nervous system. It is typically prescribed for short-term use in conjunction with a healthy diet and exercise. While it can be effective, it is not suitable for everyone and can cause side effects such as increased heart rate, insomnia, and anxiety. Because of these concerns, many individuals are seeking safer, non-prescription alternatives that can help them manage their weight without the risks associated with phentermine.

Why Choose Over-the-Counter Alternatives?

Choosing an OTC alternative to phentermine can offer several advantages:

  1. Accessibility : OTC alternatives can be purchased without a prescription, making them more accessible to a broader audience.
  2. Fewer Side Effects : Many OTC options are made from natural ingredients, which may lead to fewer side effects compared to prescription medications.
  3. Cost-Effective : OTC products are often more affordable than prescription medications, making them a budget-friendly option for weight management.
  4. Holistic Approach : Many OTC alternatives focus on overall wellness, promoting not just weight loss but also improved energy levels and better mood.

You don’t, sorry. You can drop some water weight in a week or two, but even at low carb / keto speed which is probably the fastest way to go about it, with only a month to go you’re looking at 6-8kg realistically, could be a little more but don’t bank on that. That loss is significant, but visually at your current weight it will only be so noticeable.

Start working on it either way, that way next time you’re already in the groove of losing. You didn’t add that overnight (or in a month), you’re not going to lose it in a month. You need to accept that it’s going to be a long process, benefit is at your age, you’ll pull it off a lot faster than you would if you were older. Plus, your skin should rebound from it.

Start learning about nutrition, take pictures of yourself now, always use that as a threat to yourself of what can happen if you don’t care about what you eat. At your age, your weight problem is on your parents. So you need to learn this stuff to protect yourself from that again.

When I was 16, I was really into bodybuilding. I went on an all tuna diet, which, looking back, was a keto diet. I remember feeling pretty bad, and with raging hormones and everything else, and it probably wasn’t a great time for my parents. I had no idea about getting more salt, perhaps slowing going into the diet, etc.

I went in the the military, through boot camp, where I lost weight. I came out and went to a school of pretty short duration (8 weeks?). During that time, I remember eating a ton of ice cream treats, and I gained weight. I then dropped the treats and lost all that weight.

Since you’re young, you (should) have the ability to do that. But as already stated, it’s a much slower process than many believe. We see the person who lost X weight in Y months (say, 100 pounds in 12 months), and we think that we can do that. Could you? Maybe, but it’s highly unlikely.

It’s similar in bodybuilding. We see a photo of Arnold Schwarzenegger, who was massive at 17, and we think that we’ll be like that. But after years of lifting, I was nowhere close to that. All of my friends who wanted to be Arnold, none of them became him. We didn’t have the genetics.

What I suggest is trying a diet where you eat regularly for say 5 days, and you have 2 days where you eat 500 calories. I would slowly go keto too, say by making breakfast keto (eg, eggs, meat), then lunch keto, then dinner keto, each for at least a few days. This will limit your emotional and physical transition effects. You will likely need more salt at some point in there.

And you should lose weight, because (this is the theory) you’ll lower your insulin and that will allow your fat cells to release the energy trapped there. How much you will lose is unknown.
