Pamphlet says: Exercise increases blood sugar levels...?

So I work at a military installation and we have mandatory training every year on various things. I attended one of those today and picked up a pamphlet entitled “Help With Sleep.”

I was totally shocked when I ran across this statement (mentioned under “Sleep tips”):

I don’t believe that can possibly be true but wondered if anyone else had heard this?

sorry! don’t know how to flip that the right direction (it shows the right way on my PC)

Not sure how well tested it is, but the idea is that if you burn glucose working out your body needs to replenish it so the liver outputs more and without enough insulin it has a hard time “restocking”.

Not sure why that would keep you awake though.

Technically, it can if you are eating a higher carb diet.

If you are eating Keto, and are well adapted, you may have a slight bump as your body encounters stress, but the difference is not as remarkable.

Even if I get a BS bump, I usually sleep better anyway.
