On keto 4 1/2 weeks, on-going cycle of one day feel great, calm, happy. Next day, tired and grouchy. Next day, happy again! Is that normal?
Ongoing cycle good and bad
I think we all need to eat intuitively and to recognize that are bodies are often telling us important messages for optimal health. Saying that, no I don’t believe it should be your normal. There may be things you need to add or subtract from your diet that another can handle. You might want to listen to more podcasts addressing nutrients and what our bodies do with them. One I am learning from right now is The Naturally Nourished podcast. The host is Keto but delves into many aspects of metabolic function based on minerals.
One easy thing to consider is intake of dairy products. Many people struggle with A1protein which is present in most cow milk. Because of this I am for at least a bit of time eliminating them to see if it helps me. I switched to having raw goat milk for probiotic benefits and it is A2 protein which is less commonly problematic.
Also look at your Salt, potassium, magnesium intake.
