Well, haven’t been on in a bit. Just want to give an update on my progress with weight loss. Starting weight on 1/7/19 274 lbs. This morning, 2/10/19, weighed in at 254.4. I have finally settled in to my new eating habits.

I am eating more and more green leafy veggies: spinach, arugula, romaine, kale, mustard greens. And fish, both wild caught cod & flounder and farmed salmon (but not as often). Eating almonds, pecans, cashews, etc. Found a wonderful flax seed cracker called Flackers that I love to eat with Hope organic hummus. And, of course, bacon and eggs (scrambled. omelettes) often with chopped spinach, peppers a little onion, garlic, cheese.

I feel great, incredible energy, clear headed and not nervous like I used to be. Very calm under all circumstances. Pants are falling off. Almost to a size 40 mens. Another pound and it will be official. Other benefits are no more headaches, muscle spasms/cramps and improved sleep due to eating more leafy veggies and taking an excellent electrolyte supplement called Electrolyte Stamina by Trace Minerals Research from my local health store.

Anyhow, I am VERY excited about all this and can’t wait to get back to doing some of the things I did when I was younger.

What a great update. I’m curious about what you were eating before.

So glad you mentioned your non scale victories. For me less anxiety and pain are the best parts…also not being obsessed over when my next meal is (I know when it will be and I’ll feel fine until then.)

Awesome update Dave! Keep up the good work.

I would have bought them if only for the name! How catchy.

Nice work! Like others have said, having diminished anxiety is a fantastic NSV. Losing 20lbs is a pretty nice side benefit too!

If you enjoy salmon but aren’t thrilled with farm raised, keep an eye in the supermarket for canned wild caught pink salmon. Its cheap as chicken! It’s a very small salmon that’s wild caught in Alaska. It’s a bit of nuisance fish because it’s a very small for salmon; too small to get a filet off of. The other problem is its very fatty, and nobody who on earth would want all that omega 3 fat right??? So they can it and sell it for $3.50 a pound. I’m in love with the stuff. I can’t believe I’ve lived without it this long. Also smoked herring aka “kippers”. It’s cheap because it has twice as much fat as even the pink salmon does. The stuff is like the fish version of bacon. Amazing.

Hi all…Been a while since this last update…I am just a few days from my two month mark. Weight loss has slowed to a stop and fluctuating a bit between 252 and 253.5. It’s a little frustrating. I have increased my salad intake, especially dark green leafies (kale, spinach, chard), but I include spring mix, red onion, serrano/jalapeno/chili peppers, roasted red pepper (here and there), a few cherry tomatoes and cheese. I also will saute the same in bacon grease after cooking the bacon and/or mix it into my eggs.

Not really sure what’s going on with the weight loss. But I’ve read many posts about stalls, slow downs so I’m not freaking out. But it is a little frustrating.
