On the Necessity of Homework

(Michael - When reality fails to meet expectations, the problem is not reality.) #1

I recently criticized an article in a pop magazine in a failed attempt to initiate a conversation about something I think a serious issue. I erroneously presumed the article illustrated what I really wanted to talk about. I presumed this because rather than perform due diligence myself and read it, I relied on the comments and criticisms of others who also apparently failed to read it carefully themselves. In fact, the article does not illustrate anything other than the human spirit at its best. I was wrong about the article and wrong to criticize it the way I did.

I failed due diligence. I apologize to all who read that topic and especially those of you who commented and those of you who commented wondering why the hell I was criticizing what is a very inspiring story about several remarkable people.

All of you in this forum deserve better from me. I failed you all. I will not do it again. I will do my homework to ensure that what I quote/cite actually supports what I say/claim. If I state an opinion there will be no question that it is my opinion.

Thank you for reading. KCKO.

I don’t know what article you are talking about, but appreciate your humility.

@Ellacosew I may have suggested that Michael may have had a thorn in that other conversation and that he didn’t seem his normal good self on that topic post. We can see here that he is a good guy. Thanks Michael.

How does an article (the posts about which I have not seen) about homework become a point of contention on a board devoted to low cab/keto?

That’s rhetorical.

Anyway, good on you, Michael for apologizing…for whatever happened.
