OMG ! Best "treat" ever 😀

So we took 4 big, fat slices of yeast risen keto bread (this stuff works so well, in so many things…sandwiches, grilled cheese… Toast, whatever :slightly_smiling_face:)
And we buttered it well, sprinkled with Splenda and cinnamon, and broiled it for maybe 6 minutes, then topped it with sweetened cream cheese, with a shot of vanilla extract.

Every bit as tasty as a Cinnabon… But very low carb :slightly_smiling_face:

Geez this Keto thing is tough !

What brand bread?

(Dirty Lazy Keto'er, Sucralose freak ;)) #3

Our own brand :slightly_smiling_face:
We’ve been making this bread every week, and like I say, it’s so good for so many things… Not to mention, it tastes “better” than regular carb filled bread…

… usually two loaves at a time, as we end up giving one loaf to our keto neighbor, and now we want to give one to my GF’s cousin, who we are subtly trying to convert to Keto

Do you have the “facts” for this? I like really thick bread, how much do the carbs add up?

(Dirty Lazy Keto'er, Sucralose freak ;)) #5

Well, you can go through and get the total carbs and cals for each item, and divide this by the number of slices you cut the loaf into.

I did this for carbs, and it was about 3 gm per slice (vs. 14-20 grm for regular whole wheat bread)… So sure, it adds to your carb totals, but it’s not terrible if you don’t eat more than 3 or 4 slices a day.

Is there a recipe somewhere? Or just a video?

(Dirty Lazy Keto'er, Sucralose freak ;)) #7

Yes, but it takes a couple clicks. If you expand the info below the video, he has a link to the original video for this bread by Dierdra… If you expand the info below that, she has the actual recipe in type print. Once you get there, you can just save that for future reference.
