Omad keto diet

I started keto last Saturday, so it’s nearly a week. I went into it pretty much winging it and thought I was doing it wrong. I cut out sugars and I eat no more than 15 g of carbs a day (although I think about 10 g). About 3 weeks ago I joined the gym and I was 75 kg (I actually haven’t gone yet. I start on Monday). Yesterday I went to the doctors and I was 71 kg (I’m 163 cm tall) which surprises me since I only just started Keto on Saturday. I’m still thinking maybe it was a coincidence? So I’m seeing a keto dietician next Thursday. In the meantime, I decided I wanted to try OMAD (because usually after I eat lunch I need to force myself to eat dinner which at times makes nauseous because I’m just not hungry). I decided to have my food for dinner. I’m just wondering :

  1. How much food should I be consuming?
  2. Can I just have the regular dinner size I’ll usually eat? Or does it have to be a big dinner that amounts to the same portion I’ll usually have for breakfast and lunch?
  3. How much fat should my one meal have?
  4. What supplements do you guys recommend I take whilst doing this?
  5. Are keto meal replacement shakes legit?

I am also starting the gym this Monday too. Will spend roughly 1 hour there. And doing 40 mins cycling class 4 days a week.

Sorry for the long post but would really appreciate any advice

Eat till you’re full. There is no set way of eating; you should do what works for your lifestyle. You should work to eat intuitively because it really is very individual. What works for one might not work for another. Supplements are the same; it depends on what your body needs. You should focus on magnesium, potassium and salt. I would only do shakes when you’re in a time crunch. Try to eat real food.

I think @Stabla pretty much nailed it. OMAD makes it easier to attain ketosis, all things being equal.

You’re hitting yourself with a lot of change which can be hard to sustain, particularly in the middle of your initial adaptation. I’d take whatever path makes it easier to stay the course.
