Old pictures of your fat self

#1

Anyone cringe when they see pictures from before you started your keto journey?

I stumbled upon a picture last night of me when I was 70 pounds heavier than I am now and all I can say is… WOW! I’ve made a lot of progress. I didn’t feel that fat when I was that fat, but I’m glad I’m not that fat anymore.

I avoided cameras during that time. The photos that I do have I can see how horrible I felt. It’s clearly written on my face.

My old pics remind me of where I came from.

I’m actually kind of proud that my old pics are so cringeworthy

Every day in my living room digital frame, I see pics from my wedding where I was more than double my wife’s weight. I complained that my tux was ill-fitted, and honestly you can’t make a tux look good on a guy that fat. Just doesn’t work.

Well, that’s a positive spin to put on it. Maybe I’ll think that way too about those pics.

Not me! I was gorgeous 95 lbs heavier, I’m still lovely 15 years older now. I don’t think fat is inherently ugly. But I was super physically uncomfortable being large & I’m much happier lighter.

Google Photos is now starting to show me selfies from a couple years back…when there was a lot more of me.
My neck was…so much bigger.
I do NOT want to go back there.

Preach it brother. My wife says I look cute in a suit. Whenever I put it on (which only happens if someone gets married or dies), all I can think is “fat guy in a little coat”.

Chris Farley is the man, no better guy to picture!

What amazes me when I look at photos at my heaviest (having lost now 130lbs) is that I was hiding. Hiding behind people when in groups, hiding behind clothing or strategically hiding my big self. Now, not that I actively seek the limelight, there is less of me, but still need to feel comfortable in my new self. Confidence is a fickle beast / mistress.

…the opposite for me, I’m way more gorgeous now :stuck_out_tongue:

Lol! I cringe. As a matter of fact, earlier today, my husband just showed me a pic he took of me while we were on vacation this past Nov. I gawked at the photo and scolded him for taking the picture without my permission. He said, “Honey, you’re looking right at the camera smiling and posing. You knew I was taking the picture of you at the time.” My reply to him was that I don’t remember posing for the pic and to forever delete it from his phone or never show it to me again! :joy:

I’m not ready to face my bigger self.:see_no_evil::see_no_evil::see_no_evil:

The upside is you can get new excellent pictures of you both for the frame now.

I’ve seen some old pics recently and I looked like Jabba the Hutt (sprawled on the sofa).

Now I look like Jabba’s slimmer, less decadent cousin but it’s still a lot of progress (90lbs down, 40 to go).

My belly doesn’t look as though I’ve lost 60 pounds so far, but I notice the difference, and so do my trousers. I caught myself in the mirror the other day and was quite surprised by how thin my face is looking—I actually have cheekbones these days! :bacon:

Click bait! I thought I was going to see before and afters lol

I haven’t lost enough to look any different so no but I want to!
