Old Man Carnivore -

Have you seen that guy on YouTube? … Perhaps he’s on here?
Anyway, love his channel. Amazing fittness and sharp for an old guy, sharp for a young guy! . Great recipes too. I often make his Frittata.

Old man or old guy? Here’s old guy:

Definitely Old Guy… I often listen to him. Nothing terribly insightful or new. But an interesting angle of an older guy who’s a foodie (used to own a restaurant), and his carni journey.

I get a kick out of him sometimes. Many of his ideas and methodology in how he approaches carnivore mirror my own. He gives great advice on how to get started and maintain the diet not only physically but mentally.
I’m not real hip on his product reviews and his rants but I’ll watch a little bit of them until I get bored.
I could teach him how to cook better though .

Yep Mitch, that’s the Guy. I love his enthusiasm for the food. He has a non fussy way about him. And that Fritatta is excellent … It’s a brilliant carni alternative

Now I must check that fritatta too  I forgot what is the difference between fritatta and quiche but I do love my quiches… I can make my own recipes and I do but sometimes I have find gems very well-known for people in some other countries… My country has its gems too like peasant’s breakfast, it’s a rich scrambled eggs with smoked pork. Originally with onions and potatoes but I easily swapped them with some leftover lean pork I am not so keen about anyway  I don’t think the original had cheese and sour cream on top but I want that too. It has everything I normally eat, eggs, meat (both normal and smoked), various dairy items. Not a boring meal

Oh, so fritatta (I just searched for it in general…) is a rich scrambled eggs too? Yep, it’s just my thing.

I guess fritatta is the same as a quiche… egg binding the other ingredients into an elaborate omlette.

Similar but the quiche recipes I saw had lots of cream too. (I only saw a few recipes so maybe there are more versions, I have no idea.)
Maybe only the quiche has originally a crust but who cares about that, we probably all forgo the crust on carnivore. Maybe not, some people make carnivore pizza, after all… But I do. Carnivore crust is so difficult, I don’t want it that much. And my quiche (maybe I shouldn’t call it like that at this point but I need a name and quiche is the original thing…) isn’t wet nowadays as I use quark instead of cream. But it’s wonderful with cream too, I just have so few firmer carni baked goods options, I really enjoy the not so creamy-wet one. But both are good.

I felt sorry for him after the heart stroke

is it carnivore related?

I do not think anyone can say one way or another.

But we try to make sense of it.

He lived most of his life using SAD. So more likely he already has all the ingredients to develop a stroke.

But the bottom line that the carnivore did not save him.

I am a carnivore person by the way. On/off type between keto and carnivore. But have been 3 month in my last trial on hard core carnivore and enjoying it.

That’s his YouTube channel. He has several videos outlining his stroke, and how he feels his recovery has been aided and improved by his carnivore diet.

He says it’s related to brain surgery he had prior to Carnivore. The stoke happened in the same area he believes.
