Ok I love not being cold all the time

Its 10 degrees this morning in Kentucky and thanks to a dog peeing on my ONLY pair of shoes and my jacket mysteriously disappearing I’ve had to do all my outside chores in stocking feet and a light weight jersey knit shirt (and pants, obviously) pre keto this would have had me shivering for the rest of the day, bundled up in a blanket, drinking massive amounts of tea.
Not anymore! Though I will probably still drink massive amounts of tea, but only because I love it :sparkling_heart::coffee:

I find quite the opposite. After losing 45lbs I’m now FREEZING in this weather.

Sensitivity to cold does vary, probably due to the vagus nerve, which requires somewhat regular stimulation after a hot bath or sauna in order to stabilize the parasympthatic nervous system.

Traditionally, this involved cold/ice water therapy (splashed on the face, or doused on the wet hair in the shower followed by one minute of whole body cold water, or a nearly-naked snow jog in the backyard like the Nordics do, or an ice water dip like the Russians do).

Personally, I find that keto foods have definitely made me less sensitive to the cold - and it only gets better when I make sure to add regular intake of Ginger capsules, fresh Ginger tea infusion, or Ginger sauteed in my food.

But if I feel really off, I have to make sure to do some kind of cold hydrotherapy to reset. I also have no shame in wearing headscarves/shawls/hats/sweaters indoors to feel toastier  which is a traditional practice that modern culture seems to decry.

Feeling FREEZING is no fun.
