Graphic This is pretty fascinating and motivating!! …not for those who are faint-hearted
Obesity post mortem autopsy *Graphic*
I’ve done organ procurement before and work in surgery so it’s like another day for me, I edited it to put in an extra warning
This is quite motivating to me because I’m pretty sure this is what morbid obese family members who died from heart failure looked like inside I can visualize what it’s doing to my heart and organs when i eat crappily!!
Ummm… I would have worn one of those clear full-face facemasks. But, that’s just me.
Very cool, thanks for sharing.
Holy Moly…talk about scared straight. Very sobering and educational…should be required in every high school health class. Thanks for sharing. I’ll never look at my fat the same…or compromise good eating habits…ever again.
I have a hard time viewing this objectively. All I can think about is what this woman loved, where she enjoyed visiting, who her close friends were. Technically it’s fascinating, but it stirs emotion as well. We are so much more than our shell, but it really does have an influence on us.
That was so fascinating!!
I work in radiation therapy so I see ct scans of obese patients all day long. It’s so easy to see abdominal fat just below the skin surface, but you just don’t realize how much of the fat in the body is actually in or around those internal organs as well, affecting their functions. Very sobering.
I love autopsies. The dead speak from the grave, just they require some translation.
It’s easy to say that if you have good blood markers you are “safe” when obese. The truth is that we have pressure on our joints - and organs. The lungs compress upward limiting capacity and altering speech in severe cases, and the heart enlarges. No way around it, just unhealthy everywhere.
Tangent: totally dig her hair 100%!
If i had to work on dead bodies everyday just to have hair like hers, I might do it! I agree with you, Donna! But seriously, that was an interesting video. I felt very sad for all the obese people they talked to. Hopefully they’ll find out about the ketogenic diet soon! It also is motivating me to do more cardio.
Just joined the forum and this is the first thing I see. I am in the right place. Thank you.
But did you notice all the obese people were harking on more exercise less calories. That is what gets them so stuck
