Hi Everyone:
Marty Kendall is letting everyone know his new nutrient optimiser is in the works. Can’t wait to try it. I signed up for email progress reports…I’ll let you know more when I know more. His insulin index food lists have been so helpful to me in modifying my diet.
Nutrient Optimiser nutrientoptimiser.com personalised nutrition for diabetes, ketosis, weight loss, performance and longevity
I forgot to add he’s looking for people using cron-ometer willing to give him their tracked results to help test his nutrient optimiser. I don’t know how many people he’s looking to track, but i didn’t sign up cuz I don’t track my food religiously. But you can contact him…he does return e-mails.
Is it free? Plenty of scope for advertising here otherwise but I am sure @Marty_Kendall is aware of that.
I don’t know if it will be free when released. I’m guessing not. I’m sure developing these tools costs big bucks, even if you get investors. Marty will have to speak to that. I love his website…and I know that’s free. Maybe I should have cleared this before posting it. Maybe it’ll be a business like phinney and voleks virtahealth.
Yes I agree these things take money. A lot of these sites that started out as a blog for fun have grown and grown and the owners needs some way to monetise or else what? There aren’t enough hours in the day to devote your life to a passion that recoups no money! I know he was looking for people to participate in the development stages so I am guessing maybe it is approaching launch. Whatever the case, I wish him well but there might be a snag re plugging here at some point. We shall see. It can always be cleaned up later.
The current beta testing stage is free. I’ve been really pleased with the results.
We’re working on automation of the process which is a big job and costs money to develop so we’ll have to charge something ice it’s bedded down to cover costs. We might use a freemium type model where people can get an analysis of their nutrient deficiencies for free but then pay to get the food recommendations when they subscribe. Hopefully with a lot of people using it the cost can be kept low.
Once I get the process more streamline I’m thinking I might run some reports for people who are eager to use it on a fee for service basis until the automated system is up and running. Unfortunately my spare time is limited and I still need to sleep!
Franziska Spritzler sent me her data to analyse if you guys are interested (the link below will take you to her analysis on the FB group).
This looks great - I’ve just started documenting in Cron-o-meter, so I can try it out.

Awesome @cansel!
Thanks for playing Patrick. I’m looking forward to seeing your food log and progress in a fortnight.
I’ve been playing a little fast and loose with my diet lately (not tracking, but still keto), so I’ve recently started tracking everything in Cronometer like I used to. Once I have enough data, I will be participating as well. It will be interesting to see how things play out for me as I use anywhere from one to three keto-based meal replacement shakes per day along with other whole foods and various snacks.
If you’re interested at a peek, the nutritional information for the meal replacements can be found here: https://www.completefoods.co/diy/recipes/keto-chow-150-master-rich-chocolate
Keep up the great work!
@DBatting it’ll be interesting to see how you go with a keto meal replacement powder. I had a play with the DIY Soylent thing a while back. fascinating stuff, but I didn’t do well on it long term. could have been that it was blended and hence predigested, the fact that it was only covering the essential nutrients without covering the non-essential ones the way whole foods would.
Sorry for the long delay. Life’s been a bit hectic lately and my usual diet has been more erratic than I would like it to be. Once things settle back into my usual groove, I’ll let you know. I’m interested to see how I do as well.
Is there some way to take MFP food tracking and bring it into your app? Will cut and paste work? Hum, maybe an import from a .cvs file?
It all sounds interesting but I am already deep into MFP logging.
unfortunately there is no way of taking data from MFP (which does not track micros), but you could just manually copy a couple of weeks of MFP into cronometer and send me the servings.csv file.
I just found this motherload of correlations between common ailments and micronutrient deficiencies at https://naturallynourishedrd.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/09/Interactive-Library-Nutrient_Correlation_Wheels-2.pdf
