I think you already have your answer. :wine_glass:

What kind of wine are you drinking. My wife likes Merlot and although it probably slows her progression, it doesn’t stall her.
Or do what I do. Straight whiskey!!! :tumbler_glass:

Having alcohol, regardless of carbs, can slow down your ability to lose fat. I was close to my goal weight for several weeks, but never got down there. My wife and I also enjoy wine, and I am partial to whiskey myself. When I cut the alcohol out completely for a week, the weight fell off!

I have a big glass of dry red wine 3 to 5 times a week and I have lost a lot more than 10 pounds. I have also found that I get tipsy with much less to drink. When Mrs. Hanson and I take a trip to buy wine, I do a lot of spitting and she gets a lot of extra sips. Susi is my designated drinker when I am responsible for transportation. Keto is not a punishment, it is a joy, and I am not going to live life without wine.

I do account for the calories.

Keto for Life!

À votre santé.

First thing on the experiment on yourself n=1 is to have a smaller glass and see what happens. Then cut back a day - see what happens. Change the wine you drink to lower carb - usually drier style. Experiment to find a place you are happy with.
I’m not a big drinker (not because I abstain it’s just how I am), however occasionally I will have a mouthful of my husbands wine or port. Doing this is enough of a mouth feel for me. If I want more (wine) I put it into a shot glass (60ml) and sip. I don’t do this with port as it has too many carbs - just the odd red wine.

Alcohol is NOT your friend when your in weight loss mode, doesn’t matter what the macros are, doesn’t matter if you try to “make up for it” with the rest of your diet that day. I’m a craft beer (and booze) snob so I know your pain, but it’s gotta go if you want your results.

What?

Interestingly “Tim Adams” is a Clare Valley winemaker from South Australia who makes one of our favourite Australian wines

I have dabbled in making beer, wine and spirits. But I am not that Tim Adams unfortunately. Lol just a guy with a vanilla name! But now you got me on a quest to get a bottle of that wine here in Colorado. How cool would that be to have a bottle with my name on it!

Lol … I’m a sauv Blanc fan…

I am right there with you. I have been on This diet for just about 2 1/2 weeks and have not had a drink since Jan 1. I really love my wine but everyone said try no drinking so I am and have only lost 1lb. All my recipes come from Ruleme so I am just not sure.
