Not hungry... I just WANT to snack

#21

I haven’t done it in a while, so I don’t really remember. When I use the instant pot for other things, you can smell the food, but it’s not as intense. At least it won’t last as long as when cooking for hours and hours where more steam is released during the cooking than with the pressure cooker. I would recommend allowing the pressure to go all the way down on its own rather than quick releasing because quick release expels the steam and the odor. Letting it go down naturally would minimize that. And I think that if you put the other vegetables and some vinegar in, you will get a better smell. More like soup.

I understand though. I can’t stand the lingering smell of food. I like how it smells when I’m cooking steak, but am ready for it to be gone after I’ve eaten.

I struggle with mindless snacking too. Finding a very low calorie/carb replacement like bone broth or even bouillon cubes is a good solution. Finding a hobby that gets you immersed is much better IMO. Playing guitar is that for me. I lose track of time, and suddenly it’s time to make dinner.

Gaming for me rn. Well, just one game in particular. I do have a liter of water next to me though. Drinking water also makes me feel full.

Holy shnikies! Well I’ll send you some Rotisserie for cheap, and you can send me Donairs! We don’t have those here lol.

Lol a Keto Donair would be really messy!!

Lmao I’m so used to dropping everything on myself that it wouldnt make that much difference. I never, ever, ever, ever wear white. My whole wardrobe is black and grey, and I even manage to stain those.

Never knew about Donairs until I watched Trailer Park Boys lmao.

They are $7.99 at my Costco. Have you looked there? They are far better than the ones I see at Safeway or Sobey’s.

Water, salt, raw cacao, apple cider vinegar, stevia and coffee = happy juice… then retrain your mind with new actions. When you need to snack, drink the happy juice, go for a walk and listen to a podcast or something else to force your mind to reset.

I will do a chore I have been avoiding when I feel to urge to snack. I try to keep myself busy in those moments to get my mind off it.
