Not hungry but have I eaten enough?

So it’s almost 21.30hrs, I’ve not eaten since approx 13.00hrs, am in no way hungry but not sure I’ve eaten enough. Breakfast was 4 slice of streaky bacon, lunch was 3/4 of my salad with parmeasan so maybe 6g of carbs and roughly 3tbsp of olive oil in the dressing. Absolutely no interest in eating tonight. Is this ok? I know keto doesn’t count calories but normally I’d be starving by now.

normal. Its 16:40 here almost now. I finished dinner last night at 21:00. I am not hungry really. I will be fasting for 4 days though.

Cheers. I keep hearing about fasting but used to think it was impossible, now I’m feeling it may be possible.

As long as you are not eating very low cal consistently over a longer period of time, I wouldnt bother worrying about it.

If you arent hungry, just fast. No big deal.

I just posted something similar to this last night. I am only 2 weeks back in or so but I am never hungry. Been trying to at least hit my minimum but I refuse to eat if im nit hungry or if its going to make me feel crappy. I really enjoy my fasting but in order to not stay really low 24/7 I make it a point to have a couple days a week of all day eating (little here and there) to ensure that im mixing things up. As long as you feel good and are moving ing the right direction I would say keep it up!

If you aren’t eating much and you are not particularly hungry it is because your body is eating your own fat. I used to become anxious when I didn’t have food available. At the first feeling of hunger I felt compelled to eat or drink something sugary afraid my hunger would get worse and my energy would crash. It’s very liberating to regain access to running on stored fat.

Thanks Todd, good to know it’s starting to do what it’s supposed to, with the amount it’s got to eat I could well not be hungry for years!

As the dudes say, “if you aren’t hungry, don’t eat”. But yeah I just wouldn’t restrict calories like that every day over an extended period of time, but I suppose that’s a different conversation anyway. Sometimes when I get like that I turn it into a 3 or 4 day fast, followed by 2-3 days of Keto Feasting, and then another fast. That lack of hunger today could springboard you into a week of awesome Fasting and Feasting!

Cheers Cap’n, the idea of fasting has alwsys scared me, how to not eat for say 24hrs when after 4hrs or so, but now I’m kind of thinking it would ok, think I’ve sort of managed it the last couple of days, not had dinner so no food 1300 - 0800hrs.

My whole life up until a couple months ago “fasting” was something I could never imagine doing not to mention I didn’t even really understand it. Just a month into Keto though I tried a 24 hour fast. Not so bad… so I kept upping it. I have now done 5 days once, and something interesting happened… I learned that food does not control me anymore. I am in control now. Fasting was the last piece of the puzzle to prove that to me.
