Not fasting on weekends

Am I able fast 16:8 during the week but not fast on weekends or would that defeat the purpose? During the week I have my eating window from 6am -2pm but weekends are tricky only because I go out to dinner with friends.

Yesterday I did even better and only ate once at noon and not again till 6 this morning, I’m trying to do that more just some days it’s hard

It’s a good idea to change things up so it may even help your progress.

I eat 3 squares on Saturday and Sunday. Every other day I usually only eat between 3 and 7.

Fasting is a science experiemnt, you can do what you want!

I really like to mix it up, I do extended fasting for 3 days at a time, then alternate day fasting, then I might feast for two days and do another 24 hour fast. The idea is to keep the body guessing and not get settled with any one routine.

It’s up to you what you want to do :slight_smile:

I believe in keeping the body guessing. During the week I try to get in a 2 or 3 day fast, and eat one or two meals the other weekdays. On the weekends I don’t fast at all.

This has worked incredibly well for me and I am consistently losing an average of 2-3lb per week.

I’ve noticed when I fast I lose a few ounces every day where as if I just eat whenever I only lose about a pound a week
