Thanks for the help on the last topic (corn chips/Doritos) here is my next question. Does it matter if I add coffee non dairy creamer to my coffee. The powdered type? I am not seeing the results I want and am wondering if this might be part of the problem as well. I used Splenda and Non dairy in my coffee. Help please.
Non dairy creamer
I would avoid anything powdered, but that’s just me, you don’t really know what’s in that and prob has sweeteners and chemicals.
as someone else said, coconut milk, or try unsweetened almond milk
Not sure which brand of creamer you use, but I was just checking out Coffee Mate’s site and their sugar-free creamers actually have corn syrup listed as the second ingredient!
I don’t trust artificial sweeteners. I bet you can google Splenda and find some negative articles about it. I use Stevia in my coffee. That’s my one and only sugar indulgence. It’s only 2 carb per packet and it’s natural.
SUCROSE,ASPARTAME,AND SACCHARIN are absolutely fine, Im 16 and have in taken them for the past 3 years in well the worth’s of 3 diet cokes a day and I still have a thicker bone mass than average americans, better cholesterol than average americans, and anti-cancer bloodwork and tissue statistics!!
Thing is that splend, sweet and low, and eqaul all have maltodextrin as a filler so thet are straight up sugar, infact thats why I use them for my Super high carb,Super low fat, mod protein carb up day during the week on my cyclical days to take advantage of the maltodextrin and dextrose for muscle glycogen.
In other words use only powderd truvia or liquid artificial sweetners!
Also drop the coffee mate, that like straight up hydrogenated oils and carbs in the form of corn syrup or maltodextrin, dextrose.
possibly 100x more carcinogenic than my daily sucralose, sacharrin, stevia and aspartame intake
These blood-work and test results came from Volunteering at quest diagnostics
Bear in mind that @KidKeto is a growing lad and a body-builder, so he can get away with stuff that’s not a good idea for the rest of us. (Just wait, though, Cristián! Don’t say we didn’t warn you. )
I would advise swapping out the artificial creamer for heavy whipping cream or double cream, whatever it’s called in your part of the world. Not only will it taste much nicer, it will give you more fat towards satisfying your hunger.
As for the artificial sweetener, just be aware that a lot of people get an insulin spike from one or more of them. It seems to be totally individual which one people react to, so you might be fine with Splenda. If you switch to heavy cream and still don’t see the results you want, however, consider trying a different sweetener. (Fortunately, it is possible to get an insulin spike from one sweetener and not from others, so a bit of experimenting is likely to see you through.)
Well said Paul, I forgot too mention that!
You are very correct, What works for me wont work for everyone so If the artificial stuff does not work for you than very well, you must cut it out, Thanks alot Paul for making that clear!!
